Dr. Ali Azam Farooqui - Medical Professional with Varied Experience

In addition to recently joining the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as a resident physician, Dr. Ali Azam Farooqui leverages eight years of varied experience in the medical field to provide consulting services to plaintiff and defendant medical malpractice attorneys. In this capacity, Dr. Ali Azam Farooqui primarily reviews medical records as well as standards of care and healthcare algorithms, offering his expertise to aid legal teams in cases involving medical malpractice.

Prior to his appointment with the university, Dr. Farooqui previously served two years as vice president of business relations with Chambers Medical Group, where he oversaw administration functions such as physician recruitment and business management agreements for nine clinics. He also served two years as a team lead for the healthcare insurance agency Kentucky Health Benefits Exchange after completing three years of a neurological surgery residency at the University of Missouri. He holds a bachelor's in biology and a doctor of medicine from the University of Kentucky.
